Jeff has been an estate planning attorney since 1990. In that time, he has worked with thousands of clients to create lasting legacies that transfer assets, goals, and values to future generations. Jeff received a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Law in Taxation from Temple University.
Some of his favorite cases include a client who owned substantial undeveloped real estate. Jeff worked with her for over 25 years as she sold off her portfolio and transferred a substantial part of her wealth to her children and grandchildren through a Family Limited Partnership. In this way, she not only paid for college for all of her grandchildren but also developed strong bonds with them through annual family vacations.
Another client owned a cottage in Maine and Jeff helped them establish a Family Cottage Trust which enabled their children to continue using and enjoying the cottage after their parents’ death with no obligation to pay any of the costs. The client also revised their investment plan making funds available for the remainder of their grandchildren’s lives as well.
Jeff enjoys working with business and farm owners. In numerous cases, he created plans which not only transferred their business or farm to the next generation but also eliminated dissension in the family by providing for family members not involved in the original family enterprise.
Doing this type of work gives Jeff a sense that he is accomplishing something lasting.
He enjoys the challenge, creativity, and satisfaction of helping clients using skills developed over 30+ years of experience as an estate-planning attorney.
